LIFETIME Television's Successful Drama, 'The Division,' Begins its Second Season in January 2002
LOS ANGELES, Nov. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Bonnie Bedelia, Nancy McKeon, Tracey Needham and Lisa Vidal all return to the cast of ``The Division'' with two new faces joining the force, Taraji Henson (``Baby Boy,'' ``Felicity'') and Jon Hamm (``Providence,'' ``Space Cowboys''). ``The Division,'' produced by Viacom Productions, will premiere its second season in January 2002 on LIFETIME Television.

Created and executive produced by Deborah Joy Levine (``Any Day Now,'' ``Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman''), ``The Division'' explores the personal and professional lives of a group of inspectors in the San Francisco Police Department. Leading this diverse team of inspectors is Captain Kate McCafferty (Bedelia) who continues to struggle with the politics of being the only female captain in the precinct. After a dramatic intervention last season, Inspector Jinny Extead (McKeon) returns from rehab more disillusioned than ever as she realizes she has a long way to go on the road to recovery. This season will also prove to be an emotional one for Inspector Candace ``C.D.'' DeLorenzo (Needham) as she comes to terms with her failed marriage and the memory of her brutal rape. Accustomed to always putting the needs of her son before her own, Inspector Magda Ramirez (Vidal) will be forced to choose between what is best for him and her own happiness.

The inspectors will be getting some help this season from Raina Washington (Henson), an ambitious young rookie whose enthusiasm for her job keeps everyone on their toes. Also joining Captain McCafferty's squad is C.D.'s new partner, Inspector Nathan Russo (Hamm) who will challenge C.D. in ways no other partner has.
