Bruce Lee never did a Shaw Brothers movie; they were actually rivals.

Around the final years of Lee's life he did do some promotional photo-shoots around the Shaw Brothers' studio, as he was friends with some of the Shaw Brothers' actors, but that's about all he did with Shaw.

In 1970 Raymond Chow, a production chief of Shaw Brothers, split and formed his own company Golden Harvest due to the Shaw's fierce control over everything in the studio.

Golden Harvest is the company that launched Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, and Let Li into international stardom.

Bruce Lee had originally approached the Shaw Brothers but he did not like their fixed actor and low-pay rates.

Raymond Chow saw Bruce Lee's potential and picked him up giving Lee creative and fight choreography control, which is what the Shaw's wouldn't have allowed.

The Shaw's knew the star-power Bruce Lee had and they made pictures to rival those of Golden Harvest.
