Hey guys,
Here's another song for you all to debate on: Now, 45 years ago, we were introduced to a song called When a Man Loves a Woman The song was written by Calvin Lewis and Andrew Wright and produced by Marlin Greene and Quin Ivy Now, there were 2 acts who have performed the song and took it all the way to #1 on the Pop Chart The 1st one is Soul Legend Percy Sledge and his version hit #1 on both the Pop & Soul Charts The 2nd one is Soul Provider Himself Michael Bolton and his version hit #1 on the Pop & Adult Contemporary Charts This song became Percy's 1st Top 40 Pop Hit and it was also his only Top 10 Hit and his only #1 Pop & Soul Hit and his signature song 25 years later, Michael Bolton also hit #1 with that song and it was 5th #1 Hit on the Adult Contemporary Chart and his 3rd #1 Hit in a Row from his 1st #1 Pop Album Time Love and Tenderness and it was also his 2nd #1 Hit on the Pop Chart His 1st #1 Pop & AC Hit was How am I suppose to live without you and so, I ask you all this: Which version of When a Man Loves a Woman do you like better?
