I was just checking the ANT TV schedule, everything was normal till I hit Monday May 30th. Then the schedule changes, Burns & Allen Show is on at 3 for an hour then Father Knows Best is on at 4 for an hour then the schedule stops showing!! Does this mean Hazel will now be seen at 5 pm for an hour or (dread)

is this the end of Hazel??

Say it ain't so ANT-TV please. (I ain't too proud to beg.) And what's with movies now on at 1 pm, ANT TV is supposed to be a TV show channel with movies on when they're too cheap to put on more TV shows. Looks like the movies are now rubbing into the precious few hours TV shows are on.

Also does this mean Farmer's Daughter will be starting up on May 30 along with Burns & Allen. Recall when we first got word ANT-TV was coming it was reported then that Farmers Daughter & Burns & Allen would be on. Maybe now it's coming true, BUT I HOPE NOT AT THE EXPENSE OF HAZEL!! (I don't mind shouting either).

They didnt remove it but they did move the time I think its on at night starting on the 30th and If I am not mistaken its going to be on Weekends also. It was mentioned in the blog a couple weeks ago and no Farmers Daughter yet.

Antenna TV's schedule is changing as of May 30th. I already have all the Hazels recorded and put them on DVD's, so the schedule change doesn't affect me.

I missed about 5 ANT TV Hazels, I'm hoping to get them now "The 2nd Time Around". I really do believe though that it would be better to show just one episode a day of every one of their TV series, this way they could get more OLD VINTAGE TV shows on and for the people that actually watch ANT TV in real time when they actually broadcast (I watch all my TV from my previous recordings in my own schedule, Hazel, for instance I watch on Saturday mornings as I eat breakfast) they won't get sick of the shows from over exposure. If I watched any one TV show twice a day every day, I'd be sick of it too, even my favorite show, Hazel. I spread my watching of different series out to once a week on my own regularly scheduled day. So I always look forward to watching an episode of a show, since I only watch once a week each series.

I think TV Land and to a lesser extreme ANT TV make a mistake in showing multiple episodes of a single series on a daily basis. TV Land takes it to the extreme ridiculous amount (8 episodes a day??? Crazy) I always think, who in their right mind would sit and watch episode after episode of the same series every single day? Nobody, that's who. Yes, you might watch one episode a day, but these marathon episodes being shown, they just can't be meant for people to actually sit and watch in real live broadcast time. It's perfect if it's meant for people to record and watch on their own but if a TV channel wants an audience to actually sit and watch as they broadcast, they've got to stop showing multiple daily episodes.

TV Land is the worst of all offenders of this. At least ANT TV only shows 2 a day, which I still think is one too many a day. And ANT TV is also way ahead of the game in compared to TV Land in that TV Land shows nothing but crap today, they have abandoned their whole reason for being, showing OLD VINTAGE shows from the '50's and '60's and now show nothing but crapfests. I only pray that ANT-TV never comes to this horrible end and that they stick with showing shows from the '50's and '60's.

They can scrap Nanny & Married With Children too, also I wouldn't miss all of the Norman Lear shows if they were scrapped. I want to see shows from the '50's and '60's, how about 77 Sunset Strip, Mannix, Hawaiian Eye, The Detectives, Philip Marlowe ('60's version) vintage TV shows from 50's and 60's not crap from the mid '70's and beyond.

I'm glad Antenna TV has aired 2 Hazels a day. This way, they showed all the episodes fairly quickly and I was able to record them all over a relatively brief period of time. I figured, 2 episodes a day, 10 episodes per week, 119 episodes (seasons 2 thru 5), that's roughly 3 months so what the heck I'll record them. I started recording with the 2nd season as the 1st season DVD was issued by Sony. The bad thing is these Antenna TV airings are edited syndication versions, outside of a couple exceptions.

Right, as I said, if you're someone who records so that you may watch the shows you recorded on your own time, then it's great that these stations show dozens of episodes a day.

But if these TV channels (cable or otherwise) are programming for viewers instead of recorders then programming multiple episodes of one show for several hours (TV LAND) at a time is ridiculous, no one in their right mind is going to sit and watch 4 hours of Andy Griffith SHow (for example) every single day the way TV Land shows programs. Watching one episode a day is enough, any more than that would get someone sick of the program. Least that's the way I feel, if I watch a show too much, any show, I get tired of it. I can see once a day, but 8 times a day? Every day??? You must have a problem if you're watching that much every day of one show. Yet this is how TV Land programs, ANT TV does this to a lesser extent, showing twice a day episodes (which is still too much, but not as bad as TV Land).

This type of TV channel multiple episodes a day programming is only useful to people that record, you and I. But I thought TV channels were supposed to be interestd in getting people to sit in front of the set and watch in real time. Showing multiple episodes a day fails this mission. Is TV programming for recorders or viewers? I thought it was supposed to be viewers.

I don't have a problem with the hour blocks of back to back sitcom episodes, what I don't like are the three hour blocks given to Benny Hill and 3 Stooges. I used to like 3 Stooges when I was younger, now I can almost not stand them anymore they are so stupid. Antenna TV can do away with Benny Hill and 3 Stooges as far as I'm concerned, and fill the time with classic sitcoms from the 50's & 60's that haven't been seen in awhile. I think that would be a big step in the right direction.
