Sad Charlie Sheen Is Said to be "Destroyed" After Being Replaced by Ashton Kutcher

Charlie Sheen 'Destroyed' After Being Replaced by Ashton Kutcher
by PopEater Staff
posted May 17th 2011

Is it time for yet another Charlie Sheen meltdown?

After it was announced last week that Ashton Kutcher would be replacing him in "Two and a Half Men Men", Sheen was quick to publicly mock the decision. He called the star of "That '70s Show" a "sweetheart," but added that Kutcher would bring the show down.

However, despite his public show of gravitas, a source close to Sheen tells Popeater that privately he's "destroyed" by the casting news.

"He really thought that he would be invited back," a friend of Charlie's tells me.

"After years of suffering no consequences for his behavior, why would he think anything else? Finally it has sunk in that he doesn't live by different rules to everyone else. Actions do have a consequences."

My source reveals that the casting has hit him hard and that the lack of other offers has weighed heavily on him.

"He is destroyed that Ashton is replacing him. Destroyed," the friend says.

"We are all worried that he hasn't hit bottom yet and that this could make him spiral out of control again. Especially after all the other productions that he assumed would happen fell apart."

Shortly after Charlie was fired he hinted that he was in talks with FOX and HDNet and that he expected to get paid $1 million for a 'Vanity Fair' interview.

None of which has yet been confirmed.

Charlie Sheen has only himself to blame for his current situation. And it's about time he realized that his actions have consequences! I hope for his sake that this will be a wake up call for him and he will finally deal with his substance abuse issues and his mental health!

Oh No

If Charlie wants to see who is to blame, he should look into the closest mirror!!

Charlie just needs to take a break from Hollywood and the entertainment industry for awhile - he should just drop everything and run away to Africa for 6 months.

I could never really get into this show, but I might check it out with Ashton Kucher. I'm not a fan of his, but the producers seem to have made a good choice. Just curious as to how they'll write in the change.

My brother positively loves this show. I can't stomach it. Then again, I know a lot more guys than girls who like it.

The reason women generally don't like the show is because attractive females are persued, used sexually and then discarded like used tissue paper.

Which is ironic because you can't deny that many women wouldn't have a problem being pursued by Charlie Sheen.

The show may sink with Kutcher, or they may get a few more seasons out of it. Was Sheen delusional enough to think that they wouldn't try to continue profiting off of the project?
