Default I Just Love It When The Professor Does This

In the episode The Postman Cometh, Skipper and Professor are trying to get Gilligan to give Maryann the bad news that her boyfriend has married another woman. The Skipper tells Professor that Gilligan was just about to volunteer to do it. but Gilligans gets up in arms

(Gilligan) "Oh no I'm not. Let someone else tell Maryann that some girl stold her boyfriend right out from under her nose with her back turned."

(Skipper) "Right out from under her nose with her back turned?"

(Professor) "Well that's anatomically impossible of course."

You just gotta love the professor when he does that. The logical side of him just has to put things in perspective. LOL

Yes. I liked that about him as well. He took things quite literally.

Kind of reminds me of Mr. Spock.

I love it when he gets all uncharacteristically excited about getting some pie in Gilligan vs. Gilligan. And then when they think Gilligan's eaten it, he's all "you're a prevaricator!" All upset because he ain't gettin' no pie no more.

I always liked that about the Professor. Reminds me a little bit like Sheldon Cooper from The Big Bang Theory.

But the Professor isn't as prude and condescending that he would at times explain things to Gilligan the easiest way possible.

Sheldon Cooper is just an annoying know-it-all unlikable D-bag who likes to impress people with his superiority and college degrees.
