After taunting Gloria with his superior education, the Meat Head walks out on her. Unfortunately, our man Archie talks him into going back.

I always liked the idea of Mike and Gloria together forever but with the unfortunate 80s I could see them getting a divorce

I found it hard to enjoy the ending of the two-part season nine episode with Mike and Gloria resolving their differences at Christmas time, knowing the eventual outcome that was to happen in APB season three.

What a terrible way to send off two characters that we've followed and loved for years. I know they wanted to get "Gloria" off the ground, but were those 13 episodes worth the destruction of a classic TV couple? Hardly. Only greed can explain it. It was a big "screw you" to the long time fans. |

Mike was always a responsible husband and father. Regardless of his political views, there's no way that he would ever abandon his family to go live on a commune, which is what happened in the "Gloria" spinoff.
