She claimed that she hated the grind of a weekly tv series and wanted to spend more time with her then husband Burt Reynolds. That was back in 1982, in an interview with the Montreal Gazette. Hmmm, I wonder if she still feels that way now???

i think that's what caused them to break up - she finally got to spend some time with him and discovered that he's kinda a jerk !

...don't get me wrong, I love the guy, and the Cannonball Run movies are among my favorites, but it doesn't seem like he's easy to get along with.

that's not what I heard her say in an interview sometime in the 90s. She said she loved doing the show.

She was poor in the show. I just started watching it, and see her as a weak link in the show. I reckon her role was poor, maybe she thought that as well. The role she had was for men to think she was like some beauty queen and just that. I think maybe she thought her role was pointless.

Who Knows really they both could be hard to get along with. I always thought Burt was maybe a Closet gay, with some of the pose you seen in magazines.

Loni has had nothing but good things to say about the show in recent years, and the surviving cast members still keep in touch, from what I understand. At the time, things may have been awkward, because Loni had been seeing her co-star Gary Sandy before dumping him for Burt Reynolds. (I saw all that on one of those Entertainment Tonight weekend shows about past TV stars.)
