Default Florida Evans wasn't mentioned when celebrating TV Moms on the Early Show because....

She didn't have a job-LOL

The TV guide critic Matt Roush was on the Early show and the TV moms mentioned was Clair Huxtable, June Cleaver, Julia, and the mother from the Waltons.

The TV guide critic mentioned that Florida didn;t have a job and that the show Good Times drew too much attention to itself-LOL

Matt Didn't realize..............June Cleaver wasn't a working mom either

lol

Cool

Olivia Walton didn't have a job for most of the run of the Waltons either. Although she did fill in temperarily as the teacher for the Walton's Mountain School when no other teacher was available.

Well, keep in mind, the show is probably an old shame for CBS, due to the backstage tensions that occurred very frequently.

That statement means nothing without a source

In season 6 Florida does have a job as a bus driver, so technically she worked.

She was unemployed for 85% of the show so that season 6 job was not much

Well, technically, they wouldn't have had a show if Florida hadn't worked. She was the maid for Maude before the show, but she did work off and on during the early seasons of the show. She worked at a couple stores that were mentioned....remember "Oh butterfly....tra la la la la...."? Then she had a job after James died though they never really said where she worked. And when she came back after marrying Carl she worked as a bus driver. A shame they didn't remember better......
