Eek Man, 29, Sleeps in Crib, Lives as Baby

http://www.fox8.com/news/wjw-adult-b...,7225292.story

We all remember the simpler times of youth, but one man is refusing to give up life as a child.

"There's nothing else like waking up in a crib, as opposed to a bed," Stanley, 29, told National Geographic. "Sleeping in the crib you wake up as a child and you can continue on from there."

The California man regularly wears diapers and plays like a child. A live-in caretaker plays the role of his mother and spoon-feeds him or provides him with bottles

Stanley's lifestyle is called infantilism, and he's been living that way since he was 14-years-old. For some it's a sexual fetish, but not for Stanley.

He said he just likes to be loved and nurtured like a child.

Stanley lives as an adult in public. He'll venture out in adult clothes or complete do-it-yourself projects.

He is currently working on an adult-sized high-chair to supplement his life as a child.

Watch the video below for more on Stanley, or click here to go to National Geographic's site.

I've heard of the infantilism sexual fetish before; but I'm not familiar with people who do this for non-sexual pleasure.

It's not my thing and I don't quite understand it. A few years ago Tyra Banks had a little segment on fetishes where this was a part of the discussion.

I say whatever... as long as he's not hurting anyone.

Sad

The whole story just strikes me as very, very sad. I'm no therapist, but it just strikes me as a regression of some kind.

I'm sorry... I checked out the YouTube comments of this video and someone said this gives "Check out my crib" a whole new meaning

I've talked with some people who do this for sexual reasons and they explained to me that they temp. regress to when life was care-free and with no worries.

Some people also like being treated like babies for the humiliation factor.

For them it's not really a lifestyle, once the scene is over they "snap back" into the real world. It's all just role-play.

For this person I'd say it definitely is a form of regression. Something probably happened that he doesn't want to get out of "babyhood".

This is something not a lot of people are going to understand.

That's for the psychiatrists/psychologists to decide. Apparently there are others who are a part of this way of life.

I think he's alright unless it gets to a point where he loses grip on reality and starts actually thinking he's an infant.

Yep, great quirky little flick, that was my first thought too!

I watched the Nat Geo Taboo show on this guy and he was pretty weird. But I agree with JamesG, what he is doing is fine as long as it doesn't hurt anyone else or effect his mentality too much.

That's really what it comes down to. As long as you're not infringing on anyone else's rights and it doesn't interfere with your daily functioning.
