Yesterday, my husband and I bought a new vacuum cleaner. We really needed one. We had new carpet installed in January, due to the fire.

We got a good deal on a Dyson vacuum. I've had my eye on this for a while. The commercials were calling my name. It's bagless, lightweight and state-of-the-art. My husband just vacuumed, and I couldn't believe what he got out of the rugs. He had to empty the canister twice. The rugs looked clean before he vacuumed, so this was stuff inside. Kinda scary to think what lurks in our rugs. It also cleans hard floors.

Here's the model we bought. Got a great deal at Target. Paid $310. Originally priced at $400.

I bought a refurbished DVD VHS Combo recorder recently. My last bigg-ish purchase. (My VHS passed away and I really gotta get rid of as many of my VHS's as possible -ugh! - at this point I hate them - next to DVDs they clink and clunk.)

I bought a new shower head. It has a handheld spray. I love it. Also, we went shopping for my husband. He bought a couple of pair of jeans and Nike pant things. Tops, briefs, socks and he's all set. I've been doing a lot of online shopping for myself. Capri shorts, tees, and PJs.

It totally sucks. I'm still trying to pay my bills from vacation last month, went in for my state inspection and then got hit with this. Over $500 in one afternoon. Dont ya love it?

Today I ordered two denim shirts online for my husband. One is dark blue, while the other is lighter. The woman on the phone was so nice, and funny. We ended up talking about other stuff. She gave me free shipping. That was a nice unexpected bonus.
