Bob's mother always got on Bob and Emily nerves on the Bob Newhart Show.
Geaoge's Mother, Mother Jefferson, drove Louise insane on the Jeffersons.
Iris, Muriel's Mother and Henry hated one another on Too Close for Comfort.

Jack's mother in law in 'Unhappily ever after'.
Judy Geller was kinda annoying, especially for Monica, in 'Friends'.
Also Roseanne and Jackie's mother in 'Roseanne'.
But these two were annoying for the characters, not for the public (not so much, at least :P).

That will cause the thread to end alot sooner then expected.

Buddy Sorrell (Dick Van Dyke) never liked Pickles mother even though they never showed her on the show, just Buddy's remarks about his mother in law suggested that he disliked her.

I am sure if this thread was about hated/annoying in-laws in general then there might be more interesting replies.

Yeah, but it was a little disappointing to FINALLY see her onscreen and find out that she was so...ordinary. Just another run-of-the-mill, stock sitcom character.
