This was one of my favorite episodes from the first season. Finally, the Sweathogs and the smart kids like Judy Borden were united on an issue ("Down with liver!") and it was fun seeing everyone camped out in the classroom overnight. I especially liked the Sweathogs and Kotters sharing their thoughts about God (Julie: "God is love" and Gabe: "God is everywhere"). I found everyone's input into that scene insightful, respectful and refreshing. Not to mention, it was not preachy in the least. Great episode all around.

It was nice to see the sweathogs and the smart kids unite against a common enemy! (the school administration)

VINNIE: Now I lay me down to sleep. Arnold Horshack at my feet.
(Horshack honks with laughter).

I think I've seen this episode. Is it the one when the kids work with Judy and Todd on the newspaper and then they get a newsbreaking story?

No, this is when the students are against having liver served in the cafeteria and decide to stage a protest. They end up spending the night in the classroom.

I might pick it up myself one of these days as you can buy it new on Amazon for less than $20 (prior to shipping, of course)...

I pulled out my DVD's last night and watched a couple of episodes in tribute to the memory of Ron Palillo. I watched "Arrevederci Arnold" in which Horshak got promoted out of the Sweathogs and into regular classes. And I also watched "The Sit-In". "Today Mr. Woodman's liver. Tomorrow my wife's tuna casserole!"

Another funny part is when Washington says that the music of heaven and harps, and he says that its really a jazz rhythm section. That was funny.
