Fox pulls 'Family Guy,' 'Cleveland' hurricane episodes

By James Hibberd
Entertainment Weekly

Fox is used to Seth MacFarlane’s animated hits causing controversy, but the network has decided that this Sunday’s hurricane-themed cross-over stunt will be seen in too poor of taste.

The network is delaying the previously announced episodes of Family Guy, American Dad and The Cleveland Show due to the recent deadly storms and tornado damage in the Southeast that have killed about 300 people.

“In light of the recent storms that have affected the nation, Fox has decided to postpone the crossover episodes that were originally scheduled to air this Sunday,” the network said in a statement.

You’d think that somebody would have realized earlier that doing cross-over promotions based on natural disasters is probably not the wisest idea. (So, no NBC, you shouldn’t have that Community-The Office-30 Rock earthquake and tsunami episode cross-over either).

These episodes are still going to air. Just at a later date.

Default Since WHEN did Fox ever worry about...

...something perceived to be in "poor taste"? That's how they built their network in the first place!!! Remember all their "reality" specials and series in the '90s {oh, "TEMPTATION ISLAND" and "WHO WANTS TO MARRY A MULTI-MILLIONAIRE?" were the apex in "responsibility" and "sophistication"}. And who could forget "TRADING SPOUSES" and "JOE MILLIONAIRE"?

I can imagine the meeting between Seth and Fox executives "tomorrow morning":

SETH: You ****ing screwed me on my episodes!!!
FOX: Seth, try to understand- there were several tornadoes a while ago...and we felt it would be in poor taste to-
SETH: When did you *******s ever worry about "poor taste"???
FOX: We promise you, Seth. As soon as things calm down, we'll show them! Only....just, not now.
SETH: We'll see what Stewie has to say about that....
FOX: Seth, don't do anything you might regret....
SETH: YOU NEED ME...to prop up your ****ty Sunday schedule! If it wasn't for me, you'd be running repeats of "AMERICAN IDOL" and "GLEE" to fill the time! So don't threaten me!!!!!!
FOX: Seth....
SETH: The public is gonna find out what a bunch of goddamn hypocrites you are....

Worked out, though, because nobody would have been watching last night.

Oh No We'll HAVE to wait 'till Next Season to see this cross-over!

Yes, this 3-way episode will air Next Season!

Great way to end the season with a Bust, Seth Mcfarlane Shows! ("Family Guy" had the weakest season ever...IMO anyhow).
