Cool Kirk Cameron "Praises the Lord"

For those of you who have the Trinity Broadcasting Network, right now is your time to watch Pastor Kirk Cameron "Praise the Lord."

Many of you remember Kirk from his 7 years between ages 15 and 22 as an actor via his role as the eldest teenage son on TV's "Growing Pains."

Now, at age 41, Pastor Cameron changed careers from actor to preacher.

Born on October 12, 1969, Cameron has spent the last 7+ years as a preacher.

For those who think Cameron was born in 1970, and until a few years ago I was one of you, you are wrong--and I have proof.

For starters: scientific evidence, a.k.a. School History books, prove that in previous generations, depending on where you live, if you were born, say, in a given calendar year (regardless of it being New Year's Day or New Year's Eve), you graduated with the people who were born the same calendar year as yourself--a fact that was true until the November 22, 1963 assassination of President John Fitzgerald Kennedy.

Soon after Lyndon Baines Johnson, Kennedy's successor, took the Presidential office, LBJ signed into law, effective the Fall 1965 American Public School curriculum, the cutoff date was changed from January 1 to September 1, meaning if you were born after September 1 of a calendar year, you were cut off into the next grade.

Case in point: ME. I was born December 9, 1984. Had I been born August 9, 1984, I would have graduated high school in 2002, but since I was born on December 9, 1984, I actually graduated high school in 2003.

Likewise with Pastor Kirk Cameron: had he ACTUALLY been born in 1970 on October 12, as his IMDB entry and other biographies falsely claim, he would have ACTUALLY graduated high school in 1989, but since he was ACTUALLY born on October 12, 1969 AND attended public school in his native Los Angeles, at least until he was tutored on the "Growing Pains" set and returned to regular public school every 4th week when cameras weren't rolling on "Growing Pains" and took a once-a-week hiatus every month.

Pastor Cameron graduated high school, according to his memoir "Still Growing," in 1988, just after his character, Mike Seaver, had followed suit.

One of the things that Dubya's administration passed into law in recent years for the American Public Schools is changing the cutoff date from September 1 of a given calendar year to December 2.

In 1987, aged 17, Pastor Cameron, during a break from filming "Like Father, Like Son," where he starred opposite the late Dudley Moore, admittedly pulled over the side of the road and parked his car in a Van Nuys, California lot and gave his whole self to Jesus Christ--a pact that, 6 months after his parents' divorce, led his parents to reconcile their differences and eventually remarry.

His little sister Candace, who just turned 36 on April 6, eventually followed her big brother's suit in becoming a devout Christian--though as explained in an earlier post, she did do a scene TOTALLY NAKED via a made-for-TV movie called "No One Would Tell."

As Pastor Cameron just mentioned on "Praise the Lord," when he's in tune with God, he's in a place where he can play the life and music of God.

In many ways, I consider Pastor Cameron a true influence in turning my life to Jesus Christ at age 21--and NEVER looking back.

I consider Pastor Cameron's preaching a tool to my own trust in Christ.

Who do you know who has sinned against Jesus? In truth, we all have.

A gospel singer named Mandesa is singing a beautiful gospel song right now.

In short, if you have Trinity Broadcasting Network, tune in to "Praise the Lord" and trust in Christ as long as you're alive.
