Miley Cyrus to Make Surprise Appearance on "American Idol"
Kate Stanhope Apr 27, 2011 Miley Cyrus will make a surprise appearance on "American Idol" Wednesday, E! News reports. The 18-year-old pop star will help mentor hopeful Lauren Alaina, who sang Cyrus' hit "The Climb" two weeks ago for movie week. Cyrus will appear alongside permanent Idol mentor, and Interscope chairman, Jimmy Iovine. According to a source, Iovine invited Cyrus to help after Iovine remarked that Alaina was a "much stronger singer" than Cyrus on the show.
