I know "the dozens" was played on The Jeffersons, Good Times, and Welcome Back, Kotter. Can anyone else think of any other shows where the game was played?

They did it on In Living Color, it was a game show called The Dirty Dozens.

Thanks. I'm pretty sure they did it on Sanford & Son, too. In fact, I'm almost positive.

I've never heard of that game either! After reading the Wikipedia link, the first thought that popped into my mind was the Saturday Night Live sketch where Richard Pryor and Chevy Chase play Word Association.

On WBK, John Travolta's famous catchphrase "up your nose with a rubber hose" came from Barbarino and Kotter playing the dozens in the pilot episode.

I'm surprised Solomon hasn't popped up in this thread yet.
Speaking of Sol, I know he loved when George Jefferson and Allan Willis played the dozens in the episode "Jenny's Low" from the third (?) season. Here's the golden exchange:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J-qHlfaEcyY |

Oops - it was the first season. Mike Evans was playing Lionel then - it's been so long since I'd seen the episode I'd thought Damon Evans had been on The Jeffersons by that time.

To which I, watching at home, would always reply, "Up your ass with fiberglass!" I used that line in school a lot! You had to be there. |

The Facts of Life:
Didn't Jo try to play the game with the other girls but they didn't really have good comebacks or something like that? I forgot the episode but it was the one where Blair told Jo to "Turn blue". |
