Several threads I've been readng here recently (ex: Gilbert Ortiz's son and Mike Reimer's daughter) have got me wondering about the children who were portrayed in UM segments (either directly or indirectly) and how they are doing now? They would have been young children when the show originally aired, but into adulthood now. thoughts? updates?

I recently started poking around on Facebook, trying to look people up. Would it be in bad taste to post links?

Back to the topic at hand, a more sobering thought would be how old would many of the children featured on UM be who never (or likely never) reached adulthood. I remember in the Laura Burbank segment where they interviewed her mother and she said one of the most painful things about losing her daughter was she finds herself thinking what would Laura be like now or what kind of life would she have had. I find myself thinking those same things about a lot of the younger victims on UM and that doesn't only apply to young children...I think about Rhonda Hinson and Joyce McLain a lot too as they were both relatively the same age when their lives were taken. |

The only person I've tried to look up on facebook is Johnathan Noe, the son of Wendy Camp and Chad Noe. There are a few out there but I am unsure if any of them is him.

Well, I believe the largest thread on this board is devoted to the Baskin children, Bobby & Christi, who were finally found two years ago after twenty years of being on the run with their grandparents. In spite of this lifestyle, they both seem to have grown up into normal, well-adjusted human beings, but unforunately, no doubt due to immense brainwashing by the grandparents, have little interest at rekindling a relationship with their real parents.
Wendy Camp's sister has posted on this board before and she said that Jonathon Noe is a sweet person, but unfortunately, has grown up with a bad learning disability and severe coordination problems. You really have to feel for any kid who was raised by that vicious family. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/....php?p=3325095 |

Have Bobby & Christi still not contacted their parents? It has been long enough I think a reunion needs to take place soon.

Pretty sure this is him. He had a better pic when I first found him, and you could REALLY tell he looks like his father:
