How come Steve didn't appear in the last Season of Full House?

Steve and D.J. Break up in the beggining of the last season, because D.J. feels they are going nowhere, but on the last episode of Full House they went to the Prom Together......

While I dont know for certain the reason why Steve didn't appear in the final season, it could of been for storyline reasons, because DJ and Steve broke up towards the end of season 7. Steve did make an appearnce at the end of the final episode.
