It was going to be completely overhauled with her working in Washington D.C. but she decided to leave the show and Norman Lear remade the show without her. |

Well I can go with that, but CBS defintely wasn't going to commit to another season of Maude for the 78-79 season |

What if Maude had a real series finale? A show that ran for six seasons deserves a real series finale (a three-parter) had CBS not revamped the series. but I guess the kettledrum network was sick of Maude jobbing in the Nielsen ratings, so, that being coupled with beatrice Arthur's decision not to continue, they just up and FE'd the show. If I was a showrunner for Maude, I'd have thrown out the move from New York to Washington DC. One question, was "Maude's Big Move" is or was it not a real series finale or a regular season finale?

^^That sucks. the Maude's Bid Move episode should be thrown out for a real series finale (a three-parter).

It acted pretty good as a series final. IMO.

If Maude's Big Move had never happened, the show never adopted the new format, and if there was a real series finale for Maude, what would happen?
