I didnt really notice a fake ending (Ya I guess I do in THANK YOU (The silence near the end)) I wonder if they did that so radio stations could easily break away if they wanted to??

Come to think of it,I dont know any radio stations that play that song past that silence!! -- So maybe!!

A song with a fake ending that comes to mind is Too Far Away by Brave Belt. Brave Belt is the band that went on to bigger fame as Bachman Turner Overdrive.
