Kelly Ripa Developing TV Special With Regis Philbin
by Chris Harnick posted Apr 11th 2011 Kelly Ripa might be saying goodbye to Regis Philbin on "Live! With Regis and Kelly", but the two aren't done working with each other. According to Deadline, Ripa and husband Mark Consuelos are developing a TV special for Philbin via their production company, Milojo. Details are still being worked out, but Deadline reports the project will "showcase" Philbin's ability to tell an entertaining story. The team at Milojo has already started meeting with directors for the project. Philbin is leaving "Live!" after 25 years on the job; Ripa has been his co-host for the last 10 years.
