Wanting some insight/place to vent - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I apologize in advance if this is poorly written, it's late. If anyone needs clarification please ask.

So, I meet new friend. We trade numbers. A few months go by and we become pretty good friends, but lately when I text him, he doesn't reply to me. Like at all, but I'll see him online on Facebook. Like, you can't ****ing text me back but you have the time to derp around on Facebook?! I think that's pretty rude. Like, dude, I understand you're busy and all (I am too!) but you can at least return my messages.
Also, we go to the same college (where i work in between classes at the student union) and he used to come visit me everyday and we would just shoot the ****, but I'm lucky if i get to see him a couple times a month now. I make jokes with him about it, like, "oh man, I haven't seen you in forever, I thought you died. LOLLOLOLOLOLLLL." and he just replies, "yeah, I've been busy..."
Anyway, it's got me thinking, "Am I annoying?, Did I come off too desperate for friends?" I have a really hard time making friends so I don't have really anyone I can just hang out with. Anyway, my feelings are really hurt about it. Is he a jerk or am I just annoying? It's not like I text him everyday or anything like that, so I don't think I was being annoying. Should I just cut him out of my life and try to make new friends or should I talk to him (if he'll return my texts

)? This is his last semester at my college, so I was hoping to hang out with him before he leaves and maybe throw him a going away party, but I don't know if I should now.

It's kind of taken me to a dark place and I've started to wonder if everyone feels I'm annoying. I'm really distrusting of people now. All I want are friends.

any insight is appreciated.

I know I haven't posted here in forever and I hope everyone is well.

I'm in the same boat as you...I myself have a bad temper and I talk to people a lot.

I also would like to help and be more happy in life...but I don't want to be happy that I can't have feelings because that isn't healthy either.

Sounds like he's not interested to me. Do yourself a favor and move on, dude sounds like a jerk.

he probably thinks that you are into him as more than a friend and he is either too chicken or doesn't want to hurt your feelings so is avoiding you to send the message that he's not interested in you in that way.

either way, don't sweat it - just back off and if he wants to be friends make him come to you.

It does sound like he doesn't want to be friends. He doesn't want to have any kind of a relationship and lead you on; so instead of explaining this to you, the coward hides. You're not annoying because of him or anyone else. He doesn't determine your value as a person, so don't go there.

You'll find plenty of friends. You're young and pretty. Don't sweat it. Trust me on this.

I would ignore him. He doesn't sound like he's worth being friends with. He isn't paying attention to you. He either doesn't value your friendship or he has a lousy way of showing it. Give him a taste of his own medicine. Perhaps then he will realize he's an idiot.

I agree, forget him. And perhaps he doesn't want to be in a relationship and doesn't want to be friends.

EDIT: I do agree with Roby though.
