Antenna TV Acquires Soap, Mad About You, Burns & Allen and More; WE tv Also Acquires Roseanne, Will & Grade In Addition to Frasier

George Burns, Billy Crystal, Paul Reiser and Helen Hunt join the stars of Antenna TV when their legendary programs are added to Tribune Broadcasting’s digital network lineup at the end of May! New program changes announced for Antenna TV include Reiser and Hunt's classic sitcom Mad About You Mon-Thurs at 11pm ET. Soap, starring Crystal in an ensemble cast, airs as a two-hour block Sundays from 10pm-12am ET. In addition Burns and Allen with legends George Burns and Gracie Allen starts the daily comedy block at 3 p.m. ET weekdays. The new schedule is effective Monday, May 30, 2011.

Other vintage shows joining the Antenna TV schedule include The Adventures of Rin Tin Tin, Iron Horse and Circus Boy, as those were previously scheduled to start in January but were delayed...now they WILL air! The network lineup will also continue to feature a combination of movies and other classic shows such as All in the Family, Sanford and Son, Married with Children, Maude, Good Times, Three's Company, The Three Stooges and Benny Hill.

Default Considering the fact that....

...Antenna TV is controlled by SONY, it's not surprising that virtually everything that's presented on their schedule is from SONY's Columbia Pictures and Screen Gems/Columbia Pictures Television libraries. Still, it's nice to know that several of their series {"THE GEORGE BURNS AND GRACIE ALLEN SHOW", "THE ADVENTURES OF RIN-TIN-TIN", "SOAP"}, which haven't been seen on broadcast and cable stations in ages, is finding a home on Antenna. I'm equally happy that "THE IRON HORSE", a forgotten Screen Gems western starring Dale Robertson that aired on ABC from 1966 through '68, is also being "exhumed".

Now, it's just a matter of time before "LOVE ON A ROOFTOP", "OCCASIONAL WIFE", "THE SECOND HUNDRED YEARS", "THE UGLIEST GIRL IN TOWN", "TEMPERATURES RISING", "BRIDGET LOVES BERNIE" and "THE PAUL LYNDE SHOW" are added to the rotation as well.....

That would be awesome. I've never seen those shows, only heard of them. He & She with Richard Benjamin and Paula Prentiss would be an awesome addition as well.

Default Don't look for "HE & SHE" on Antenna TV, 'catlover'...

...for the simple reason it isn't in the SONY TV library. It was produced by Leonard Stern and Talent Associates for CBS; that series is part of the CBS/Paramount TV library- and as mentioned before, Antenna TV is virtually programmed from SONY's Columbia Pictures/Screen Gems/Columbia Pictures Television libraries.

That would be nice if they would air these short lived, largely forgotten series. Circus Boy and Iron Horse are said to be going on the schedule, so maybe there's hope for these other shows too. Is "Hey Landlord" a Sony property also?

An excellent, short lived show is the 1968-69 musical/comedy series "That's Life" with Robert Morse and EJ Peaker. I would like to see that show again, Robert Morse has said he would like to see the series come out on DVD. I agree, but considering the cost of music rights as about a half dozen songs were performed in each episode, I think chances for a DVD release are pretty slim. But I won't say never, maybe one day it will get released.

They should put the 1960's t.v. shows on at night. That would be refreshing.
Put Hazel on in the evening all across America. They don't have it airing in
New York at night because they have a repeat of the news from 10:00 P.M.
This is Antenna TV.
