Ray Romano 'won't guest on The Middle' According to Patricia Heaton - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Patricia Heaton has revealed that she does not expect Ray Romano to guest star on The Middle.

Heaton, who previously worked with Romano on Everybody Loves Raymond, joked that it would "too confusing" if he appeared on the show.

"A Ray Romano crossover to The Middle might be too much," she told Fox 411. "It would probably break some kind of time-space continuum."

Heaton also refused to say whether she prefers working on The Middle or Everybody Loves Raymond.

"People always ask me which family I like better, but I always say it's like asking what my favorite flavor of ice cream is," she said. "Both are equally delicious, just in different ways."

The Middle, which has already been renewed for a third season...

But... It's okay for Doris Roberts to be on there playing basically the same charictor as in Raymond.. Mmhm...........

It would seem odd. I'm reminded that once Michael Landon was once asked if
Lorne Greene would ever appear on Little House on the Prairie and he said it would just be too strange to fans that his own "pa" wouldn't recognize him! However, Lorne did make a guest appearance on a memorable episode of Michael's last series, Highway to Heaven.
