Red face Fluffed lines (eg: Natalie Schafer in Gilligan the Goddess)

In the episode Gilligan the Goddess, Lovey's asking Thurston what he's doing wearing her negligee, and Natalie fluffs the word negligee, she's like "neghh...negligee" then she smirks like "oops" and they carry on.

Are there any other instances of bloopers like that which got left in? I know Bob Denver used to talk very quickly and maybe mispronounced a word here or there but Natalie's blooper was very obvious. That's the kind of thing I'm after.

Thanks!

Something else I noticed, in Slave Girl. Not really a blooper as such, but at the beginning when Gilligan runs down to the lagoon and says "a girl!" you can see his breath. So much for hot tropical islands. It must have been a cold morning in LA when that bit was filmed.

Probably the funniest one I know of is just after Ophelia's song in "The Producer." Ginger's "Oh. Uhhhhhhhh...." was actually Tina Louise forgetting her next line. It was so funny that they left it in, and added in the bit with the Professor cueing her line.

Hahaha! I'll look out for that one! Oh, Ginger.

I'm pretty sure it's How To Be A Hero, you can see cigarette smoke wafting onscreen, and in the episode where Skipper thinks everyone is Japanese and imprisons the girls, Gilligan is behind a bush with the Professor and there's cigarette smoke there too. Bob must have been holding one behind his back.

I've gone off my own topic, which was line fluffing, but I was just thinking of little things I'd noticed.

Haha, really?! I've heard people comment on how if she's an actress, Ginger shouldn't be forgetting her lines that easily, but I didn't know the story behind it! Hilarious! She doesn't look off camera or break character at all, though - she forgets it really dramatically and it fits right in the scene!

I can't remember the episode but everyone's giving three cheers and Natalie Schafer keeps going "hip, hip". I thought it made her look like a real dill. It really spoils the scene. I'm surprised they didn't redo it.

The very infamous blooper in "Feed the Kitty" where Bob gets jumped by the lion got left out, for very obvious reasons.

In "Topsy Turvy," Bob refers to the girls and the Howells saying, "I saw all eight of them ago an hour." It seems Gilligan's head injury distorts speech as well as eyesight.

In "Ship Ahoax," I wonder whether Bob's burning himself with the match as he read's Ginger's note was accidental or on purpose. It seems like a rather painful stunt, if it were on purpose.

This concerns an improvisation rather than a blooper. Teebs, you and I were suggesting that the scene in "Castaway Pictures Presents" when Alan throws Bob into the lagoon looks suspiciously unscripted. Bob certainly is yelping in fear!

I love Alan's improvisation in "Voodoo Something to Me" when the baby chimp suddenly decides to climb into his lap. He just takes it perfectly in stride and cuddles the little creature. "You want to sit in my lap? Okay, if you're more comfortable that way." So sweet!

In his book, he says the trainer kept hitting the lion in the balls with a stick. that's probably why the lion was in a bad mood.

Oh yeah, he does say that. I thought it was deliberate because his eyesight was wonky so he was getting his words up mixed too!

Actors will do anything for the right effect, including burning themselves with matches. Bob was probably used to it, all that smoking he did!

That scene really does look unscripted. I'm sure he just threw Bob in there for pranking him. Again, in his book, Bob says he pranked Alan while filming Physical Fatness and made him rip his trousers.

Awwwwww! I'll have to watch that again!!! In Ring Around Gilligan the bizarre lookin' monkey sidekick jumps off the tree and climbs onto Vito Scotti, the scene cuts soon after. Vito probably lost his hat or something or laughed. Cos it does look funny.

I had a good GI marathon this afternoon and sat there with my notepad like a proper geek but there weren't any noticeable bloopers in the eps I watched. My eyes are always peeled though. (Ouch.)

I think this is more of a script error than a fluffed line, but in "X Marks the Spot," both the radio announcer and the Skipper identify a point on the map as 140 degrees lattitude and 10 degrees longitude, which is impossible: there is no 140 degrees lattitude anywhere on earth. The spot that the air force general marked on the map is the reverse: it's 140 degrees longitude and 10 degrees lattitude, which puts Gilligan's Island about 300 miles southeast of Hawaii (and pretty darn far from everywhere else!)

I'm gonna start calling you The Professor.

I think I spotted another one. In The Sound Of Quacking, Marshall Gilligan tells Deputy Skipper "You were plannin' on eatin' the...eatin' the duck yourself."

There's no real need for a pause to be there so I think that's a fluff.
