I agree with you on both counts. My uncle was such a huge Neil Diamond fan that we played his music all through the calling hours, opened the funeral with "Cherry Cherry" and closed it with "America".

Geez, Afternoon Delight. It's one of those songs that you love as a kid (I did, anyway, in that magical summer of 1976) but later realize, yeah, it was pretty bad.
