Default Do you have any weird/unusual food combinations?

Ever since I had to start losing weight, and now watching it to keep it off, I find myself "thinking outside the box" and trying some unusual combos to see what works. Because I have to watch the amount of carbs I take in, I've switched off of regular yogurt and skim milk to Greek yugurt and fat-free ricotta for dairy. One day I realized that I really love Ovaltine so I thought "I wonder what it would be like in my ricotta" Well I mixed some in and it was great! I told this combo ta a friend yesterday and he said he sounded gross (maybe it might but it tastes great to me.) So there you have it: mine is Fat Free Ricotta with Ovaltine. Do you have one/some. If so, what are they?

Ever since I was a kid - I have loved to dip carrots in mayo. Everyone else I know thinks it's gross, but I love it!!! You could try it with fat free mayo if you feel so inclined.

Doesn't sound wierd to me at all--but then look at me with my Ovaltine. Your combo sounds not to far from dipping carrots in salad dressing.

Mayo is DIVINE - its only drawback are its mega-calories. BTW, another great combo is french fries with mayo. This one has been relegated to my dreams - I'd have to do a week of make-up eating to compensate for an order of ff with mayo - but GOD - it is yummy.

Sometimes I eat Mayo on my french fries. I love to put Mustard on my Popcorn

When I make chicken salad sometimes, I will cut up apples and throw those in my chicken salad, if I do not have apples I will use grapes, sounds weird but it is good.

grapes in chicken salad isn't weird, my sister-in-law's been doing it for years and I've heard of other people doing it.

catsup or barbacue sauce on peas.

My sister likes catsup on bologna sandwiches.

I heard that former president Lyndon Johnson used to like ketchup on eggs.

Chocolate in Ricotta? No, not odd...there's chocolate cannolis and the ingredient in cannolis IS Ricotta which is a sweet cheese.

But have chili peppers in a Chocolate Cheesecake, now that's unusual!

And there's a restaurant in Hershey where they serve (almost) everything with Chocolate and that's at The Circular Dining Room.

I put ketchup on sauerkraut. It's the sweet/sour thing I guess. Sauerkraut is very low in calories. I, being of German descent, love the stuff!

Last Christmas I mixed melted chocolate with mint flavoring and dipped Ritz crackers in it. They were oh so yummy.

I also like to mix orange juice and ginger ale - my mom craved that all the time in 1984 when she was pregnant with my brother. I got to like the taste of it, too. So I still drink that combo 27 years later.

If you mix mayo and catsup, it makes a pretty good fry sauce.
