'Modern Family' Does A "Got Milk" Ad

Following in the footsteps of The Simpsons‘ Bart and Lisa, Buffy‘s Sarah Michelle Gellar (see it here), Heroes‘ Hayden Panettiere and (if I may date myself) Baywatch‘s Yasmine Bleeth, the Dunphys of ABC’s Modern Family are the latest TV personalities to parlay their popularity into a “Got Milk?” ad for The National Fluid Milk Processor Promotion Board.

The ad features Ariel Winter, Nolan Gould, Ty Burrell, Julie Bowen and Sarah Hyland, while the body copy speaks in the voice of Claire, extolling the virtues of plying her fam with milk. It’s something, she says, that Phil likes to call “Pourenting” — and yes, the Dunphy dad probably would coin such a phrase.

The new ad was shared via Facebook late Wednesday on the “Milk Mustache” page, where you can also spy outtakes and a video from the photo shoot. Late last year, Family member Sofia Vergara appeared in her own “Got Milk?” ad, with her 19-year-old son Manolo. Modern Family returns with fresh episodes Wednesday, April 13, at 9/8c.
