Default Watch closely, they never do any close ups

Just the other day realized that I've never seen a close-up shot of any of the cast. They are always filmed at a distance, with someone else in frame a lot of the time. I think the closest I've seen recently in watching every night, is when someone is shot maybe from the chest up. And it's odd that the sitcoms of that time period ON TAPE did use a lot of close-ups. Night Court, Three's Company, Family Ties, were all on tape. Cheers was one of the few on film.

Anyone else encounter this?

Exclamation not true

I've seen plenty of times when they close-uped on Sam...or Rebecca...or Diane...

It's just rare. Keep an eye open.

In "Show Down Part 2" they use close ups on Diane and Coach (back and forth) when she is admitting that she loves Sam.

Default My post cont.

Well, it isn't a close-close up, just something from the chest up, but that is only in this picture. I guess this is a kind of close up considering what they normally do!

Well, I mean like a REAL close-up, nothing but the face in the shot. Very rare for any tv show I've watched.
