Default Will TV Land acquire any more classic shows?

Do you think TV Land will ever acquire any more classic shows (1950's-80's)? If so, which ones do you think would do well?

I don't think so unless it's something like The Munsters to fill weekday mornings.

They don't seem interested in anything other than Norman Lear shows from the 70s (they don't like Maude or ODAAT) and Three's Company and they tried 80s shows but they didn't really work. 60s seem iffy.

So, I think if anything I think it'll be something from the 60s like The Munsters or Green Acres that they aired recently. They don't even air all of the ones that they have, so I don't see why they'd acquire any more.

I really miss when TV Land would take a chance with an obscure show and let it run over a few months. Now that Bravo's "Brilliant But Canceled" Trio is gone, I'd like to see TVL start picking up rarities again.

I hear you treky. I have given up all hope for TV Land (As well as all other forms of Commercial TV). Later this year I will purchase all of the Star Trek DVD Sets I currently don't have, after I finish that I estimate I will have over 25,000 TV Episodes on TV on DVD, which will probably last me THE REST OF MY LIFE!

Thumbs down

TV Land is such a disgrace!- I just saw the All in the family episode- The border Patrol- and there are some great scenes cut in the bus station- I am so glad for Antenna TV- I saw the same episode a week ago and was totally uncut!- Who cares if TV Land wakes up and adds more classics- they don't treat any of them with respect.

TV Land is not done because they have still shows on their schedule from the 60's,, and 70's.

I would like to see these shows on TV Land replace Sanford and Son and Good Times

1. Bob Newhart Show
2. Mary Tyler Moore or Rhoda

TVLand is just fine without the classic shows. I'm looking forward to the return of Hot in Cleveland and the premiere of Happily Divorced.

Do they have anything from then that isn't on DVD complete and uncut? Why would anyone care when you can just watch it on a DVD?
