Here's a very interesting discussion from Websleuths about the possibility that an unidentified Jane Doe found in British Columbia could be Patricia Meehan. They initially found a partial skull for the victim in Mission, B.C. in 1995 and then later found bones at the farm of notorious serial killer Robert Pickton in 2002 which were a perfect DNA match to the skull. Anyway, it wasn't until very recently that they were able to release a composite sketch of the victim and she does bear a resemblance to Patricia Meehan. Added to the fact that you can cross the border into British Columbia from Montana and it's perfectly plausible that she could have travelled her way up there if she became disoriented and started hitching rides. The Websleuthers have already officially called in a tip for Patricia Meehan as a possible match, so the wheels are in motion. It's a long shot and who knows if it will actually lead anywhere, but it's always great to know that an old unsolved mystery still has the possibility for closure. |

Wow. I can definitely see the resemblance between Patricia and the composite. Like everyone else on this board, I would love to see some closure in this case.
Thanks for reporting the development, Robin!

Wow, that would really be something. We could piece her final days together if it really is her.

it looks so much like her. I am a websleuther too! I will be shocked if its not her. So she ran off and was murdered? that's a new twist in the case.

That would be heartbreaking to know she was murdered...
But, at least the family will have some kind of closure. |

The composite looks a lot like her...especially the nose. I wonder how much longer before they find out for sure if its her...

Hi lads, first time poster. Yeah, there's a definite resemblance in that composite. I've always been particularly saddened with this case. Patricia was a beautiful looking woman who appeared to be deeply troubled. The car accident seemed to send her over the edge, probably because she feared someone was seriously injured in the collision. Sadly, I doubt she's still alive. The life of a hitchhiker is a dangerous one and that risk is doubled when you're an attractive looking lady.
Hopefully, some closure will be brought to this case. |

It'll take months, as contrarily to popular wisdom DNA testing takes a long time even with current technology.
