Something I wanted to ask you all:
Do any of these cases ever make you wish vigilante justice were legal, or able to meted out? Do you ever wish you had the power to go back in time to stop any of these murders and/or disappearances? |

Yes to the second question, a resounding NO to the first. That's precisely why we have a legal system: to keep amateurs whose feelings interfere with investigations from meting out justice.

Yes to the second question. Absolutely not to the first. If we as laypeople took it upon ourselves to be judge, jury and executioner, we would be living in a very scary society. Too many more innocent lives would be lost. Our justice system is far from perfect, not doubt about that. It is a tempting thought at times especially when it appears LE isn't doing what they should be doing, but I don't think it's the right way to go.

In cases where killers walk free after serving a short time, or in other words when the legal system has failed the public, there should be some sort of vigilante justice.
