Jack Klugman Never Minded Being Typecast As "Oscar Madison"

Jack Klugman was an accomplished movie and stage actor before The Odd Couple. Yet, Jack was very proud to portray the frumpy messy sportswriter. He also didn't mind the dreaded "typecasting" moniker that usually goes to tv stars.
