A magazine ran a story a while back, where a 16 year old girl was dating a 17 year old boy online through Chat and E-mail. She asked for his picture, and he scanned her his yearbook photo. She said, "He looked dorky, but extremely cute." He lived in Florida, and she lived in New York. He persuaded her to come visit him in his house in real life!

She skipped school and lied to her parents and flew a plane to Florida. She was shocked to see that he was a grown man, around 47, who "Was older than my Dad!"

Not a 17 year old boy!

He had tricked her by sending her his old high school photo around 30 years ago!

She tried to run away from him, but he raped and kidnapped her. He said something sleazy along the lines of, "You willingly chose to come her e to meet me. Now, you're stuck with me."

Weeks passed , and she got a chance to contact her Mom, who got her out of the Rapist's house and had him arrested for the rape and kidnap of a minor.

This is a cautionary tale to never meet some stranger you met online in a private place in real life.
