Syfy Renews U.S. "Being Human" for 2nd Season
Syfy Orders Season 2 of "Being Human"
Mar 17, 2011 by Hanh Nguyen Syfy's supernatural roommates will be extending their lease. The cable channel announced Thursday that it ordered a second season of "Being Human", a U.S. remake of a British drama. It centers on three Bostonians who share a brownstone and their supernatural secrets — Aidan (Sam Witwer) is a vampire, Josh (Sam Huntington) a werewolf, and Annie (Meaghan Rath) a ghost. The trio try to assimilate and lead normal lives. "'Being Human' has proven to be a winner for Syfy on all fronts," said Mark Stern, Syfy's head of original programming. "Using the original format as inspiration, the showrunners and writers have created an amazing, compelling series in its own right. We can't wait to watch Aidan, Josh and Sally continue their struggle to be human in the second season!" "Being Human's" Jan. 17 premiere drew an average of 1.8 million viewers, making it the network's best winter scripted debut in six years. It's also Syfy's most female-skewing series: Women constitute 53 percent of the audience for new episodes. http://www.tvguide.com/News/Syfy-Bei...n-1030813.aspx |
