Default Deleted scenes on Antenna TV

I'm comparing the recently aired ANT TV episodes to ones recorded from WOR more than 20 years ago. The picture quality is not the best since they were recorded on VHS, and non digital cable TV reception was not the best in the late 80's. I also have the original commercials(they are funny by themselves)

1. Maid for a Day.....the rehearsal scene with the director (Harvey Korman) and Deirdre was cut big time when Max(Korman) demonstrated the proper use of a vacuum cleaner. The scene with Mr and Mrs B discussing their luncheon plans(before Deirdre arrived) was eliminated.

2. Aint that a Knee Slapper......the opening scene where Hazel was telling stupid jokes to Mr B and Harold was totally gone.

3.Mind your own Business....The opening scene where Hazel interferes with the Baxters bridge game by giving stock market tips to George and Dorothy's friends.(this scene sets up the premise for the entire episode) and should have never been eliminated. The Gypsies fortune telling scene with Mr Griffin was included. It seemed very out of character for Mr Griffin,he
seemed like a no nonsense old school businessman.

I try to find some more if I can find the time.

That's interesting.
Were the WOR episodes uncut (25 minutes)?

Just found another one...."High Finance Hits a New Low". The scene where Mr B discusses the Johnson's stock holdings(which I though was very funny considering the old stocks Mr Johnson owned)...totally gone....I really needed to see that 3 minute acne creme commercial again!

WOR's airings were edited, Antenna TV's airings are also edited. When the 2nd season DVD comes out later this year from Shout Factory, hopefully the shows will be complete and unedited.

WWOR was also edited but it appears some of the episodes had different scenes edited on Antenna then WWOR.

Maybe the episodes were re-edited in between the time they aired on WWOR and now on Antenna TV. Some scenes were shown in the WWOR airings but not on Antenna TV, and vice versa. Either way, the WWOR and Antenna TV airings are edited down to about 22 1/2 minutes an episode.

I also have copies of the WWOR airings. I have compared a few to the Antenna TV airings, so far I haven't noticed any differences. But I haven't checked every single episode, I imagine it's possible there may be a few episodes where the edits are slightly different. But in most cases, I believe both airings are the same.

These new airings from Antenna TV are sufficient until the complete unedited series is out on DVD, if it ever comes to pass.

The editing is always different. I put together a few almost complete or complete "Diff'rent Strokes" episodes using TV Land and BET airings.

As far as I know, the Antenna TV Hazel airings and the WWOR airings from a number of years ago are basically the same. I have noticed on a few that the opening credits are different on some of the Antenna TV airings, otherwise I haven't noticed any differences in the two airings although it's not really a concern for me and I am not bothering to check every single episode. The one episode that aired recently with the closing credits cut short was shown the same way when WWOR aired it.

Aside from the fact the episodes are edited, I'm satisfied with the Hazel's from Antenna TV. I'll have a nice DVD set once all the shows are aired. And there's no guarantee that all the seasons will be released on retail DVD.
