Fran Drescher Returning to Sitcoms With 'Happily Divorced'
They've done it again - almost 10 years after they co-created The Nanny, Fran Drescher and Peter Marc Jacobsen are close to landing another comedy series starring the nasal-voiced actress. I hear TV Land is finalizing a series pickup for Drescher and Jacobsen's pilot, Happily Divorced. Based on Drescher's real life, it stars The Nanny alumna as a woman who re-enters the dating world after finding out that her husband is gay and juggles her relationship with her current boyfriend and ex-husband. Drescher and Jacobsen are the writers-executive producers.
