Charlie Sheen is officially unemployed. According to a Variety report, Warner Bros. has terminated Sheen's employment on 'Two and a Half Men.' The studio sent the outspoken star a letter today informing him of the decision. Sheen had one season left on his contract for the show, and has threatened to sue CBS and Warner Bros. for violating the agreement. A studio representative told Variety that no decision has been made about whether 'Men' will continue next season without Sheen. UPDATE: Sheen released the following statement to TMZ: "This is very good news. They continue to be in breach, like so many whales. It is a big day of gladness at the Sober Valley Lodge because now I can take all of the bazillions, never have to look at whatshisc--k [Chuck Lorre] again and I never have to put on those silly shirts for as long as this warlock exists in the terrestrial dimension." The last official word from CBS came last week when network honcho Les Moonves said at a San Francisco conference, "Going down the road ... I don't know what's going to happen. I hope it's back. We'll see." Though John Stamos initially denied reports that he would replace Sheen on the show next season, it was later revealed that he spoke with Moonves a few weeks ago about the possibility. |

Warner Bros. To Charlie: Here's Why You're Fired 55 minutes ago by TMZ Staff TMZ has obtained a letter Warner Bros. sent to Charlie Sheen's lawyer, stating Charlie was being terminated because he committed a felony involving "moral turpitude. In the 11-page letter, obtained from sources connected to Charlie, Warner Bros. states, "Your client has been engaged in dangerously self-destructive conduct and appears to be very ill." The letter then goes on to describe Charlie's hijinks, including trashing the Plaza Hotel in NYC, coke binges, on-set failures because of drug fatigue, and diatribes against "Two and a Half Men" creator Chuck Lorre. The letter also notes that Charlie derailed production when he went into rehab, and then he fired his sobriety coach. In fact, Warner Bros. claims it was so concerned about Charlie's well-being, "Warner Bros. had an airplane waiting" to take him to a treatment facility ... but Charlie would have none of it. As for why Charlie got fired, the letter says there is a clause in his contract saying they can fire a performer who commits "a felony offense involving moral turpitude." The letter says, "There is ample evidence supporting Warner Bros. reasonable good faith opinion that Mr. Sheen has committed felony offenses involving moral turpitude (including but not limited to furnishing of cocaine to others as part of the self-destructive lifestyle he has described publicly) that have 'interfere[d] with his ability to fully and completely render all material services required' under the agreement." In short, that's why Charlie was fired. Charlie's lawyer, Marty Singer, has demanded Warner Bros. pay Charlie for the eight canceled episodes -- or else. Warner Bros. seems undaunted by the threat, even reserving its right to take legal action against Charlie. |

Well I never liked the show but I'm sorry for the crew. An 8 year run, particularly in this day and age, is very rare though, so I'm sure they'd have all had to find work soon anyway.
As to Sheen, only God and maybe his family can intervene now. |

Because of the controversy surrounding Charlie Sheen, he won't be granted entry into my new House of James nightclub. He would be like Constance McCashin when she got fired from Knots Landing as a cost-cutting measure and not wanting anything to do with that series anymore.

So what is next?
It will be fun to watch his lawyers persue legal action while this derailed train continues it wrecking path. Things you will see: Another arrest. Another hospital visit. Sheen is still on this binge, so until it really ends and he can talk and act normal nothing of substance will happen on his end. No one will hire him, no law suit will come of anything. Is anyone going to be surprised when we hear the lamenting apology of Sheen down the road. Or if not, his death? |

Warner Brothers had no choice. How many jobs can you run around, slamming your bosses to the public? I never could stand that arrogant creep anyway because he hits women. Never men, the coward, just hits women.
Sheen's going to kick himself in the ass over this. His looks are gone, and he's only 45. Good luck to him finding a job that pays two million a week. I hope he overcomes his drug problem, but beyond that, good riddance. I feel bad for his former castmates, but he became impossible to deal with. Nothing but a giant crazy headache. |
