Does anyone remember this old intro, in which Elmer Bernstein was responsible for the music?

This is the 30-second intro to The Best of the National Geographic Specials, which I believe either dates to 1985 (when the NG specials first went into syndication and were also available on VHS) or to 1991, when co-producer WQED-TV Pittsburgh bowed out of production.

However, wasn't the Elmer Bernstein music first used back in 1964, when NG first began airing their specials on primetime TV? Or does it date to 1973, 1985 or 1991?

CBS was the first network on which you could catch these specials, from 1964 to 1973, then for the next two years it was on ABC. From 1975 to about 2000, PBS broadcasted the series, with the aforementioned WQED co-producing the series to 1991. The 1964-75 primetime TV run was co-produced alternately between David L. Wolper Productions and Metromedia Producers Corporation through 1971 (Wolper became the sole co-producer from 1971 to 1975).
