Default Mr. Belvedere on DVD is in trouble (please read and follow)

It appears that Shout! Factory doesn't have the rights to the final two seasons, and to make matters worse, doesn't plan on getting them in the foreseeable future. Why? Because season 4 was not a big seller.

And the only reason why season 4 isn't a strong seller is because many of you people still aren't doing your part. I encourage anyone who hasn't gotten season 4, or any of the other seasons yet, to do so right now.

And if you already got seasons 1-4, try buying multiple copies of them. Hopefully, that will be enough to greenlight season 5. Don't let the price get to you.

It's very sad how downhill things have went. I remember years ago on amazon, there was an overwhelming demand for this series, now look what happened.

This is not very good news. Is there anything we can do apart from buying multiple copies?

But Fox isn't interested in it, let alone any of their much older shows. I want Shout! Factory to release them, because the last sets they put out were all wonderfully put together. I don't think this would have been the case had Fox decided to release them.

Do you really think Fox is happy to be associated with Mr. Belvedere? Hardly.

Oh No

I just wish Hulu or Facebook get these shows on the internet...that and/or Shout! Factory has a TV/Internet Site.

Because Fox doesn't give a s*** about its back catalogue.

Also, did you email the marketing or sales departments of Shout Factory instead of info@shoutfactory.com? That could be why you were misled into thinking that season 5 would be on the way.

It's very sad how downhill things have went. I remember years ago on amazon, there was an overwhelming demand for this series, now look what happened.

Mcfly-121 said that he believes the main reason for the huge drop in sales in between the 1st and 2nd box sets, is because many people who bought the first set complained about how poorly the series has held up, and therefore, stayed away from the 2nd. I don't know if I would agree with him on that.

But if that is indeed the main reason, then it's unfortunate that online opinions do not represent the majority, because all the responses I've heard from people who bought the DVDs said that the series is better than they remembered it.

Speaking of which, I'm very disappointed in mcfly-121, who is arguably the biggest Belvey fan on this site for not doing his part. I don't care if he already has the entire series on tape. He still needs to do his part. It also doesn't help that seasons 1-3 in his collection are the syndicated versions. And who wants that?
I'm suprised this show got many season released.I find a lot of 80 shows so outdated but for some reason old shows from the 60s stay fresh?

Shout suprised me with this release but it's good for the fans who like it but you would think a show like The Phil Silvers Show would be a good return for them or Amos 'n' Andy,The Bob Cummings Show,I Married Joan and My Little Margie.

I'm suprised a show like Perfect Strangers is stalled on Season 2 that holds up today and a show like Dear John and The John Larroquette Show no season out.I agree on your comment about the demand of the show early if people want a series get the complete series don't complain about the show and not buy after 1 or 2 seasons. This is the reason why it stops and it don't make sense not finishing the series you watch.I like welcome Back Kotter and think the 4th season was a bit poor unlike the others.I would still get it to complete it if it came out.

And when someone posts eps. of Mr. Belvedere on YT, FOX goes and has those eps. pulled down within a few months.

Seasons 1-2 are available new at $21.00 while season 3 is available new at $19.00. Get 'em new right now while you still can. Show Shout and especially Fox that there's a demand for Mr. Belvedere.

If something is wrong with the release of season 5, I bet it's something that Wesley did.

KIDDIN!

In any case it is bad news. I do love this show. Theres gootta be a way to let them know how we feel.
