Smile Remember in the early 1960's Paramount

did a series cartoons released inyndication to stations(ala their "Popeye" cartoons of the 1960's-The "Popeye"ones that Paramount did featured the same voices:Jack Mercer(Popeye),Jackson Beck(Brutus),and Mae Quostel(Olive Oyl),and many of the same directors and writers of the 1940's and 1950's color cartoons-but something was missing)under the banner "Paramount presents a Modern Madcap caroon".Does anybody remember the "Modern Madcap" series of cartoons?

Default Actually...

...Paramount sold off their 1950-'62 theatrical cartoon library (minus "Popeye", as that "package" went to Associated Artists Productions in 1956) to Harvey Comic Publications, along with the rights to Little Audrey, Baby Huey, Herman & Katnip and other "Noveltoon" characters [who were featured in various Harvey comic books], beginning in 1958. Those were re-issued by Harvey Films as "Harveytoons" {seen on "MATTY'S FUNDAY FUNNIES" on ABC, and "CASPER AND COMPANY" in syndication}, although several original prints of the 1959-'62 cartoons (including the "Noveltoon" and "Modern Madcap" series) were seen on local stations, often with the Paramount logos removed. The "Modern Madcap" series, begun in the summer of 1958, focused on offbeat stories featuring different characters.
