Music "Get Smart" - the season one (1965-1966) opening vs.

All the rest of the openings. In #1) the NBC season one opener ,Max,returning from a case, barrels at a moderately safe speed around the corner and squeals to a halt,in front of CONTROL headquarters,and....well,you know the rest of the opening #2).In NBC seasons 2,3,and 4 the opening is somewhat different, but slightly, and shows Max parking his car in front of CONTROL headquarters, and is seen hurrying into the building.....and ,well, you know the rest of the opening. And #3)In season 5,the CBS shows,it is again slightly different. My favorite opening is opening #1,followed closely by #2,and last #3.As far as closings,I like the NBC closings the best.I do not really care for the CBS closing.Questions:1)What are your favorite openings ?#1,#2 or #3? 2)Which color of car did you prefer:1)The red one 2)The blue one or 3)The car he used in the CBS shows,a yellow Opal?(Yes,there WAS a car named that)My favorite openings were #1,followed closely by #2,and #3.3)And which closing did you like ?The NBC closings,or the CBS closings?I liked the NBC closings.I did NOT care for the CBS closings much. And finally,as to the color of car Max drove,I liked the red and blue cars used on the NBC episodes.I did NOT care for the yellow Opal he drove in the CBS shows. It didn't look like a spy car.The ones in the NBC episodes did. What are your favorites?Feel free to post.

The NBC opening credits didn't change until season 3. In seasons 1 and 2 openings Max drives the red car. In seasons 3 and 4 openings he drives the blue car. I prefer the openings for seasons 1 and 2. In the season 5 opening credits for CBS, I think he drives a gold color car. I don't have a problem with the closings of the CBS episodes, they are nearly the same anyway as the NBC closings, the music was just scored a little different.

I think the actual name of the gold car was Opel, not "Opal." I've seen reference stating that it was a 1969 Opel GT in "Aztec Gold" color.

In the season 1 & 2 opening, does anybody besides me watch the guy in the tan coat and dark hat? He approaches the fire hydrant as Max's car is turning the corner, and then comes back into the frame as the car pulls up in front of the building. He walks by the car just as Max looks across the sidewalk at the building and then out of shot again. It looks like he's carrying a briefcase.
