Default "You Ought to Be in Pictures" Alternate Take?

I've read that there was an alternate take of a scene in the episode "You Ought to Be in Pictures" where Rob can't help but cry after not being chosen for a role in a movie. I've looked, but I can't find a clip of this alternate take online. For those that have seen this alternate take, was it a "serious" moment, as in a scene that's not played for laughs, or was the crying meant to be comical in some fashion?

I'd really like to see this alternate take, but I can only find brief descriptions of it online.

Thanks in advance.

I don't remember where I saw it, but I think it was done as a gag outtake. It was never intended to actually be in the episode. Rob was telling Laura that women have it "easy"--they can always "cry" their way out of unpleasant situations. (I know, I know, it's chauvinistic. ). So let's see what would happen if men could also "cry" when things don't go their way.

It might have been shown in a special or when Dick was a guest on a talk show.

Thanks for the response. Honestly, I kind of wish that the scene would have been treated with a degree of seriousness. I obviously really enjoy the comedy done on the show, but I also liked it when the writers gave a scene a touch of seriousness, like they did with some of the episodes focusing on Sally. The seriousness in those episodes never felt out of place in my opinion and I enjoyed "feeling" the emotions being expressed rather than just laughing at the jokes or the slapstick comedy, which again, are both great and what the show is mainly about, but I never did mind the slightly serious moments the show occasionally had.

Thanks for shining some light on this alternate take!

Edit: I was able to see the scene I was referring to on YouTube. I'm glad to have had the opportunity to see it, but I'm kind of glad it wasn't used in the actual episode. It was funny, but it didn't feel quite "right" for Dick Van Dyke's character.

It is actually shown in the TV Special, "Dick Van Dyke and the Other Woman". It is the last thing shown before the program ended.
(which is on YT still at the moment http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=11IOd2M4gjo)

Dick did a wonderful job even though the scene was not used.

Also, this part of the special was included as an extra in the Season 5 DVD set, so you can see it there as well, if you have the set or are thinking of buying it.
