In the Courtroom segment in the 70's comedy The Kentucky Fried Movie- Wally and The Beave make an appearance in the audience (Tony Dow reprises his role as Wally, but Jerry Zucker plays the role of the Beaver)
![]() Hell Night, in this early 80's slasher, when Peter Barton's character is telling Marti (Linda Blair) about his dad, he describes him as being like the dad from Leave It To Beaver. In the early 80's slasher Girls Nite Out, when one of the characters is asked what he's going as to the costume party, he replies "Beaver Cleaver" Screwballs, in this early 80's teen sex comedy, the lead girl's parents are named Ward and June. Scrooged, starring Bill Murray, one of the fake TV shows they show clips from is a spoof of Leave It To Beaver. |

In "Harry Loves Sally", Billy Crystal relates that he was up at 4:00 A.M. watching Leave It To Beaver re-runs in Spanish and goes on to do a couple of familar lines from the series in that language.

in the movie "DRAGNET" from 1986, Tom Hanks and Dan Ackroyd pull up to a house in one scene and Tom Hanks says something like "HI MRS. CLEAVER! CAN THE BEAVER COME OUT AND PLAY"?

Another Billy Crystal Leave It To Beaver reference. In the 1986 action/comedy film Running Scared, Crystal refers to two rookie cops as Wally and the Beav.

Okay, not a movie, but a book. This is from the second book in Joe R Lansdale's long running Hap & Leonard series. The book is titled Mucho Mojo.
The series of books center around two lifetime friends who do various odd jobs to make ends meet, and find themselves involved in mysteries. This conversation happens as the two characters are about to go to sleep while staying at Leonard's late uncle's house: “You ever watch Leave It to Beaver?” “Yeah.” “End of that show, way I remember it anyway, the two brothers, Wally and the Beaver, they used to share a room and have a talk before they turned out the light and went to bed. In that talk they summed up the episode you just watched, and the problems they’d gone through, and everything was capped off and solved in those last few minutes and they moved onto new stuff next week with no baggage. You know what?” “What?” “Life ain’t like that.” “No, it ain’t. Good night, Wally.” “Good night, Beave.” |

That is a riot!!
How about from Better Call Saul in episode Nailed he mentions Carnac. Jimmy is explaining to the guy he bribes at Valliant Printing. “Remember Johnny Carson as Carnac he comes up with the answer by holding the envelope to his head. Well the answer is Leave it to Beaver. The question is What did the dead raccoon say in his will?” |

^LOL!
I watched Carson a lot and I'm wondering if that's an actual question. I wonder if any show ever did a takeoff on Beaver. Like Wayans Bros. did on Good Times or Roseanne did on some 50s/60s shows. |

You've seen SCTV's "25th Anniversary" LITB spoof -- I had recalled a breakfast table scene with Ward having bourbon in his corn flakes or something similar, but had forgotten the rest.
Here is the SCTV spoof for those unfamiliar: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M9dKYxkYYXM |
