Default Brady Bunch Unknowns That May Forever Remain Unanswered?

Here are some oddities that despite my research, no one knows why they are there:

1.) In the credits for "Brace Yourself" Marcia's date for the dance, Allan Anthony is mysteriously listed as "Craig" in the credits. I don't believe there was a "Craig" in this episode.

2.) In "Greg Gets Grounded" the DVD shows no fill in squares, where they would normally appear between the last scene with Greg and Rachel at the drive in and Carol and Mike in bed with Carol laughing about the circumstances of Greg's date. Each version is different in how this is handled: Concerning the frogs jumping on the pizza:

1.) TV Land started filling in the squares after Greg says, "I don't think we will be eating this tonight." His final line, "And he was in 34th place too" is lost.

2. Syndication shows the whole sequence. After Greg says, "He was in 34th place too." fill in squares, cut to commercial, Greg talking to Mike and Carol in Bed about his date.

3.) DVD: A Blend in between the drive in sequence after Greg's last lines (nothing cut) going from the drive-in to the bedroom scene.

I have confirmed that the bedroom scene was always the tag sequence. In first run, one of the kids who was the main focal point in the story, would always say, "The Brady Bunch Will Return in a Moment." for this episode, that would be Greg speaking.

The original run probably had the sequence of #2, than "The Brady Bunch Will Return in a moment" followed by the tag.

4.) Love And The Older Man: Missing the fill in squares before the tag scene on DVD.

5.) 20 seconds of missing dialog gone from Part 2 of the Hawaii episode, "Pass The Taboo." on DVD It was believed, but never proven, that this footage was mysteriously dropped when when syndication showed each of the Hawaii and Grand Canyon episodes as 90 minute mini-movies in the late 80's-early 90's, LONG AFTER syndication started edited the episodes.

6.) Fill in squares missing from ALL of the vacation episodes on DVD.

I attribute most of the above to sloppy DVD restoration by Paramount. No excuses for NOT checking the original prints, against the syndicated prints, and any back-up 16mm scenes lost long ago to prevent these kinds of screw ups. The Brady Bunch is a top propriety and should have been given the kind of restoration treatment it deserves. This was not the case

RUMORED BUT NEVER PROVEN

A longer dialog sequence when Greg goes to Randy Peterson's drama class in "Call Me Irresponsible" where the teacher and Randy rehearse the scene where the teacher plays Randy's Mother, and believes that she is "Much too young to be receiving flowers from a stranger," at least once before the teacher opens the door and hits Greg accidentally with the flowers.

A longer sequence of Greg signing his Johnny Bravo contracts when he is in manager Tami Cutler's office.

In the episode of brace yourself concerning the credits, there may have been a Craig in that episode, we don't know. Sometimes in editing an episode maybe because it ran too long and they figured a character was not essential to the story, they forget to cut the characters name out of the Credits. And that's how they end up there. I have researched this issue on many shows myself. But your right, that question may never get answered. And here is one more that may never get answered about The Brady Bunch. In the 1st episode the wedding, Bobby holds up a picture of a Woman who is supposed to be his Mother, but I don't think we will ever find out who the actress was that was in that picture. I once asked the question about it and never got an authentic answer and probably never will. Someone even once suggested it was Joyce Bulifant who played Dick Sergent's wife in a 2nd season episode of Threes Comany (Chrissy's Date) but I looked into it and she wasn't the actress in the picture.

Why would we assume it was an actress? She could have been just about anybody! My pet theory is that they just got a random framed portrait from the prop department and that even at the time nobody knew who she was.

Another theory is that it was a sample picture sold with the frame (once a common practice) but I don't think even Sherwood Schwartz would be that cheesy!

Recently watched the syndicated print, right after Rachel laughs at the incident with the frogs jumping on the pizza, it jumps right to a commercial. This is different than what I recall from past airings over the years.
