Hey TJ,
I have a printout of the shorter version of the FOL ep guide from the old N@N site. According to it, "The Facts of Life Down Under" eps originally aired as eps 182 to 185. But according to the ep guide you have posted here at Sitcoms Online, the Down Under eps are #'s 175 to 178. And of course there's a few other eps from it that are not consisent with your ep guide either. Somehow, I believe that yours is correct. So how could N@N possibly have screwed up like that? Based on that, I have a strong feeling that my memory does serve me correctly- and N@N has misinformed us by stating that Lisa Whelchel originally tried out for the part of Kimberly on DS. |

This is no disrespect to TJ or to anyone
else that has an episode guide for FOL, but I don't think no one knows the #'s the FOL Down Under. I went to about 4 or 5 sites. One site showed that FOL Down Under #'s were 179 - 183. Another site showed that the #'s were 175 - 178. I'm not going to name all the sites but the third and last one I'll mention showed that the #'s were 182 - 185, but this site wasn't N@N. |

I would ignore ANYTHING you found out about Facts of Life from N@N. They lifted their episode guides from other sites, didn't even bother to change the descriptions and correct the typos. I would believe TJ's numbers. The other ones are probably in error.

Actually, two of those probably are correct. There are two different kind of guides- some go by airdates, some go by production dates. TJ's and N@N's seem to go by production order. Like, take "Dope" for instence. It was the 8th one filmed, but it was the 13th one aired. Okay, since these are the only episodes in which I know by heart the production and airdate order, I'll give you the first season of TC as an example:
Airdate #1: Man About the House #2: And Mother Makes Four #3: Ropers Neice #4: No Children, No Pets #5: Jack and the Giant Killer #6: It's Only Money Production #1: Man About the House #2: And Mother Makes Four #3: It's Only Money #4: Jack and the Giant Killer #5: No Children, No Pets #6: Roper's Neice So two of those are most likely correct (Though N@N's prob isn't), but in different ways. |

Well, thanks everyone....I figured that production dates and original dates might have something to do with it, but of course N@N's guide was vague and didn't explain this. And I actually uploaded it somewhere on the net- so I hate pass out false (or confusing in this case) info to anyone. I figured that the one posted here at Sitcoms Online is most accurate.
I still insist that among all the info pertaining to FOL that was posted on N@N, the ep guide is not the only thing they screwed up on. |

In the NBC version of 62 Pick Up they their is a commercial for The Facts of Life Down Under and it says it airs next week. Soooo I'm guessing it went 62 Pick Up, FOL Down Under, and so on with the rest of season eight.

BTW, The Internet Archive still has all the parts of the FOL N@N Site up. It's at http://web.archive.org/web/200012041...oflife/epi.tin
N@N's site has always been ridden with mistakes. For instince, the "Laverne & Shirley" site says that it was a staple of the Monday Nite Lineup (When it was on Tuesdays) and it said that from 1982-1983 it was retitled 'Laverne' (Which It Wasn't, I Mean, All Ya Have to Do is look at the opening theme from that season!) |
