Default When does Soapnet go off the air?

Is it this Summer or Fall when the the network goes off the air for good? I liked when it aired Knots landing,i was able to get the whole series on tape. Also like it cause from time to time i need to dvr days at another time when its on soapnet if im dvring 2 other shows at 3pm..Thats the only reason now i will miss it.

Wish it would have aired Sunset beach series run of 3yrs. instead of some of the stuff they run. i would have massed a huge volume set of all the episodes on dvd

Sometime in 2012, I'm not sure about the exact date.

Do you think there will ever be another Soapnet type channel? If I had the resources I would start a channel with CLASSSIC soap operas as well as the ones of today. What if a channel had recent shows like Dawson's Creek, Party of Five, Melrose Place as well as classic shows like Dallas, Knots Landing, Falcon's Crest and The Colby's etc.? I mean someone has to stick up for the soap opera genre because the way there going they might not be around much longer.

When Soapnet abandoned their format, that was the end. They got nobody to blame but themselves.

You got that right - they sold out like practically every other cable channel.

I don't think this could be good for the 6 remaining daytime dramas. But who knows?

Yeah, when Soapnet decided to be like the E channel, it went down hill. Its become the "Being Erica" channel. I mean between those promos and the soap opera promos they show constantly, its really aggravating. And can someone tell the geniuses at Soapnet that Being Erica IS NOT a Soapnet orginial. They picked it up from some Canada station.
