Love the last 2 years of the Beaver - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

You know when the show starts up with the Cleavers getting into the car.
Maybe it's the last year not 2 but I can't believe what a dork the Beaver looked like. It cracks me up watching these shows as beaver smiles and nods his head as he talks.
Yes sir yes sir yes sir.
I do like the early years too but the later are my favs...alot may disagree.
Lets hope the Beav never leaves TV.

Glad to have another Beaver fan on the boards. I like the last year too, but I like the stories that tend to focus on Wally during the last years. I really disliked some of Beaver's friends during the last remainder of the years. I liked Lumpy and Eddie a million, no a trillion times better than I could ever like Gilbert or Whitey.

You're right, but think about it, by the end of the series they were dealing with "politically correct" issues like alcohol and staying out all night. Check out Wally's graduation episode!

I LOVED how they changed the 1963 theme music!!!! I wonder why nobody likes Gilbert!!!! I am beggining to like Whitey Whitney!Yhe last season has to get my vote.

I can understand why nobody likes Gilbert, but personally, he cracks me up. I don't know why, maybe it's just the way the actor delivers his lines.

It was only the final season where the opening ends with the Cleavers in the car (and has the jazzed-up theme). The second-to-last season has the front-lawn opening, and June has that huge bouffant which probably contributed to the depletion of the ozone layer.

I like Gilbert too!
And regarding June's big hair-do.......... That was considered very cool at the time!

If you really want to laugh just watch all those Beach Party movies! Big Hair Heaven!
