I can truly say that I have never watched a single episode of "Two and a Half Men", nor could I even name the kid on the show.
Most of the reason I have avoided this show is because of Charlie Sheen. I just can't stand the guy and never have. He was born into this business, was wealthy literally all of his life, and how utterly blessed this man is to be such ana-hole that he is. And honestly, he is that. If he was born into a regular family where nothing was given to him, he would probably be a drug dealer, a lawyer, or a lying car lot salesman. The guy makes $1.5 million dollars an episode (about $30 million a year) and he whines, bitches, moans and tells the World how much of a mensch his boss is. He beats his wife, a cokehead, and pays way way too much money for prostitutes a 1/3rd his age dressed in pigtails to satisfy his borderline pedophliac fantasies. I have always wondered what his father thinks of him? It seems like Martin is the polar opposite of his son, reserved, married to the same woman, has never ever been in the tabloids about anything. What happened to Emilio Estevez? I always thought he was the one to forward the family legacy. I feel sorry for the other players in this show, but this series has been on for 7 years, maybe its time to pull the plug. To the kid who plays the "1/2", please look at Charlie and don't be like him. Get your education and stay away from the nose candy and invest your money well, because this may be the only role you get (call Tina Yothers, Tina who?, you say, uh huh.). That's it. By watching 2 1/2 Men, you are funding Charlie Sheen's drug addiction, which is funded by terrorist groups. |

I agree with you and you're not missing much by not watching the show. I've only caught a handful of episodes and the only reason I watched was because there was literally nothing else on.
As for his dad, I think it's admirable that he's standing by his son, although I don't know if that's just a media showing or not. Seems to me that he is somewhat sincere. I watched the movie "Bobby" that Emilio Estevez directed and wrote (I'm pretty sure he wrote it), and it was really good. He's gone on to bigger and better things since his days as a teen movie idol. Although I've always thought he was a great actor. So at least Charlie has his brother to look up to. I feel kind of sorry for his family, really. I think his dad's helped him quite a bit, but there's only so much parents can do. I mean, take Lindsay Lohan (please!). I see her dad on the Today Show almost once a week, talking about her on-going problems. I can't even imagine what he really thinks about his daughter who is on the verge of self-destructing. |
